Community Standards
How we show up for one another.
These commitments keep The Fold a place where connection, mentorship and growth come first.
Why The Fold exists
- The Fold exists for intentional connection, mentorship, leadership development and professional growth.
- Every introduction is made with care. We ask members to receive and extend them the same way.
What we expect
- Show up as you said you would, and follow through on introductions and commitments.
- Offer value before asking for it. Generosity matters more than seniority.
- Respect confidentiality. What is shared in a Circle, a conversation or a mentorship stays there.
- Communicate kindly and professionally, including when you need to decline.
What is not permitted
- Unsolicited sales pitches, or treating introductions as a sales pipeline.
- Mass solicitation — bulk messages, list-building or recruiting from the member community.
- Misuse of member information, including copying, sharing or exporting names, emails or profile details outside The Fold.
- Harassment, discrimination or intimidation of any kind.
- Repeated disregard for professional boundaries after being asked to stop.
Mentorship
- Offer mentorship only with the availability you can realistically give.
- Respect each other's time: arrive prepared, keep agreed times, and say so early if plans change.
- Mentees and mentors may end a mentorship at any point, respectfully and without explanation.
If something goes wrong
- Tell us through the Contact page. Reports are read by the founder and handled discreetly.
- Depending on the situation, The Fold may issue a reminder, pause access, or end a membership.
Member acknowledgment
"I will use The Fold for intentional connection and growth. I will not pitch, solicit or misuse member information. I will respect other members' time and boundaries, and offer mentorship only with the availability I can realistically give."
Every applicant agrees to these standards as part of their application.
